FLEXIBLE AND RELIABLE POLICIES


HEALTH SECTOR

1. Exclusive Hep. B & Yellow Fever Vaccination to protect students during clinical exposure


WELFARE

1. Clinical care (students should be transported at all manner of times coupled with frequent visitations by the executives to ascertain the learning difficulties at the various clinical centers and if possible, help solve them)

2. Proper utilization of the welfare fund adequately directed to those that deserve it promptly 

3. The stand of NSA on students’ portal related problems rather than leaving it to be handled by course reps. 

4. SRC/NSA procured souvenirs will be sorted to the various course reps to be distributed easily to students in order to avoid the unnecessary queueing for them and to avoid some not getting theirs at all in some cases.


ACADEMIC SECTOR

1. Rebranding our Social media platforms (NSA website, Youtube TV, Instagram and Facebook) to be more proactive and of good use to both the students and the public

2. Learning from the past in readying ourselves for the future (The Impacto – inviting resource persons on career guidance as well as the way forward after school)

3. Liaising with appropriate authorities to have a functional skills lab to the standard of professional training

4. Fund for academic works disbursed to course reps to aid in airtime, bundle, markers, extension cords, and other pertinent issues bothering the class


SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT SECTOR

1. Intensifying week celebration to include skills training (flyer making, liquid soap and detergent making etc.), movie shows, relationship talks, “it takes two”, yoga etc.

2. Negotiating with the authorities to grant the association at least, THREE HOLIDAYS in celebrating NSA Week climaxed with the Dinner & Awards Night

3. Female football league *

4. An excursion to Damango game reserve and the Kintampo waterfall

5. NSA in Fashion (Official Monday, Afro Wednesday, Rep NSA Friday)


SPECIAL PROJECTS

1. NSA Multi Services shop eg. ECG Prepaid vendor, MOMO Services etc

2. NSA Storehouse/Secretariat office.

3. School clinic for clinicals (especially first years)


GOVERNANCE

1. Representing NSA-UDS in all national and international gatherings (UNSAG, NAHSAG, GRNMA) and possibly channeling the concerns of our people for immediate interventions

2. Promoting equity and equality in the measures of both gender and socio-culture

3. To promote healthy relationships among members of NSA-UDS and stretching it to the reach of other Associations.

4. To organize and participate in programs and seminars that seeks to promote the health and wellbeing of the people as well as advancing the nursing knowledge of our people.

5. Accountability will be a hallmark through the strengthening of the audit team.

6. Intensive updates on administrative works and activities through the wings of the PRO.
